Low-density polyethylene is a high molecular weight synthetic resin obtained by the polymerization of gaseous ethylene at high pressures. It belongs to the family of thermoplastics with a branched molecular structure and a wide molecular weight distribution, characteristics that classify it as a multipurpose resin.
Resin for extrusion of multi-purpose films, designed for use where good mechanical and optical properties are required. It is used for supermarket, bakery, and food bags, notebook covers, and other applications. It is also used to manufacture semi-industrial bags and food packaging in automatic sealing processes, either alone or in combination with the latest-generation resins, depending on the packaging requirements.
