Description

It is an aqueous, pungent, fuming, clear, slightly yellow solution with a strong and irritating odor. Highly reactive. It attacks most metals, producing hydrogen.

The product is obtained by the catalytic combustion of gaseous chlorine in the presence of hydrogen. After this synthesis process, the resulting gaseous hydrochloric acid is absorbed in water until the desired concentration is achieved.

Uses

It is mainly used in the following industries:

CHEMICAL AND PETROCHEMICAL
Production of various chlorides, preparation of cationic emulsions, and in the plastics industry.

WATER TREATMENT
pH correction in wastewater, production of activated silica, and regeneration of ion exchange resins.

FOOD INDUSTRY
Production of monosodium glutamate, starch hydrolysis, and cane sugar refining.

METAL SURFACE TREATMENT
Used in iron pickling and in electrolytic coatings and etching.

MINING AND OIL
Removal of deposits and encrustations from sludge and rocks.

OTHERS
